Alias: The Springwood Slasher, Bastard Son of 100 Maniacs

Type: Mystical

Location: Eldritch location/Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: EVIL

Summary: Be afraid. Be VERY afraid. There is no killer, no monster, no being in the world of cinema that comes close to the sheer terror that this depraved man-turned demon unleashed. Several times over, in fact. This is the sick and twisted tale of Freddy Krueger.

History: The bastard result of a nun getting raped by over a hundred asylum maniacs, Freddy grew up to be just as wrong as his conception. A notorious child murderer, the local parents of Springwood, Ohio mobbed him and burned him to nothing. However, in that moment, Freddy made a deal with the Dream Demons so that he would haunt Springwood forever, and murder the children of those who killed him. Thus, he was given the ability to warp the dreams of the living, and kill them in worlds completely under his control.

Notable Kills: Holy Hell, you could write a book on the various ways he's done people in. So, we're going to pick one from each film. In order, the infamous "blood fountain bed", his pool party rampage, turning a guy into a horrific marionette with his own flesh before severing the "strings" over a drop, turning a girl into a cockroach before torturing her in a roach motel, reducing a guy into a bleeding paper form before tearing it to shreds, killing a guy by trapping him in a Nintendo-style video game ("Now I'm playing with power!"), and making Jason Voorhees himself relive his own traumatic demise (even if that didn't kill the actual Jason).

Final Fate: Freddy can only be defeated temporarily. Even if he's seemingly beaten, he always bounces back. However, his reign over Springwood was brought to an end when his own daughter Katherine (or Maggie) exorcised him of the demons empowering him and sent him back to Hell permanently. With no one fearing him anymore, Freddy was powerless. Though if you consider his stint with Jason as canon, then we can say that while he survived the ordeal, Jason won fair and square, and the people went on to not fear him anymore again.

Powers/Abilities: A near boundless control over the dream worlds, though his most treasured weapon is a single glove with long blades for claws that he had back when he was human.

Weakness: Those lucid and/or brave enough can harm Freddy, and he will not be able to kill if people just stop fearing him. Also, only Elm Street kids can die at his hands.

Scariness Factor: 5-The most over-powered and insane serial killer, period. The only positive thing about this horrible, HORRIBLE man is his sense of humor. And even then, you need the stomach for some truly black comedy to gain even the slightest bit of levity from him. There's no end to his creativity, and no limit to the levels of sadism he'll indulge in. But if not fearing him is what it takes, then here's to the brave...

Trivia: -For his entire career, Freddy was played by Robert Englund, who absolutely cherished the role. Well, that and just about every other role he's had.

-Freddy was the main antagonist in the non-canon comic series, "Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash". That story ended with him not only angering the Dream Demons after claiming to be a God, but getting erased from history itself after the past is edited so that he got arrested instead of burned by a mob. Serves you right...b*tch...
